| I have shaken hands with eternal ire and watched my palms bleed deep red. I have shaken my soul free from it's bone cage and now repent no more. I watch the sky cry for the earth as it shudders under it's own weight. I have seen cities rise, and now I see them fall. The great beyond is crowded now, so I bide my time hoping Heaven doesn't get too full before I get there. People that claim to be more knowledgeable than me say the continents are breaking apart. As I watched the fifth earthquake this month break California apart from it's mainland, I couldn't help but believe them. With nowhere where to go, I sit at the beach and watch the days fade away. I've the feeling that with each trip to the beach, I don't have to walk as far as I did the previous day. All across the world, in Western Europe, the Pacific Rim, North America, and the Middle East, earthquakes are happening with extreme regularity, and whole cities are being swallowed whole. I wrestle with this question daily, and have yet to arrive at an answer so now I'll ask you. What will you do when the world starts to crumble? | ||||||||||||||||
